Trolling vs Drift
fishing for Lake Erie walleye:
Ahhh, the topic of a debate best discussed
over a barley pop at a sports bar. |
| |
| We like
to differentiate ourselves from most charter captains that only offer either
trolling or drifting. We prefer to offer our customers a
choice. This choice is not only available before the trip, but if
conditions mandate a change of program, we will
adapt to put "fish in the box". |
| |
| And let us not forget
jig fishing for those pre-spawn walleye in the
western basin. Limit catches can come fast and furious, and using light-weight
tackle makes the catching experience much more fun. The jig bite begins just
after ice-out usually in March and can last til mid-May, both dependent upon
water temps. |
